The over-100-meter SuperBiomorphic yachts are a series of stunning vessels that challenge traditional yacht design. They feature ‘netification’, a design principle that employs net and web-like structures to create complexity and light penetration throughout the yachts, resulting in a visually striking and highly parametric aesthetic.
Inspired by the natural world, the biomorphic shape of these yachts creates a flowing, dynamic form that interconnects different floor levels and deck spaces. These intricate, web-like structures are a testament to innovative design philosophy. The modular netification not only produces a stunning visual effect but also enhances the living experience on board. The net-flows allow greater light penetration, creating a sense of space and openness to the outdoors.
The SuperBiomorphic yachts are an algorithmic and generative platform that integrates hydrodynamic, biomimicry, and structural demands with a novel approach to spatial and architectural conception. Despite the controversies surrounding superyachts, the potential of human-thought designs to blend with the natural world in a hypersymbiotic way remains compelling—not only in form and structure but also energetically and mechanically. The vision includes hydroelectric, hybrid, and fully electric water vehicles as a necessary reality for today.
