Karim's design seamlessly aligned with Toyo Ito's vision of merging physical and virtual realms at the Sendai Mediatheque. His contributions to the public cultural centre included seating and information desks that enhance its multifunctional purpose, accommodating a library, art gallery, audio-visual library, film studio, and café. Notable pieces included the Möbius strip Momo 100 bench, custom curved information desks, and inviting public seating areas.
